Sea Grants: EDHEC Sailing Cup
Would you like to join the Team Total in the EDHEC Sailing Race?
2 Team Total boats will be entering for on this 44th edition: Total is offering
two grants to two crews of seven people who will take part in the
EDHEC Sailing Race on 13 April 2012 in La Rochelle.
The agenda: 8 days of regattas and racing bringing together 3,000 students from a dozen nationalities. Nearly 170 crews enter each year, under the watchful eye of some of the world's leading skippers: are you ready for the challenge with Team Total?
A unique opportunity
Win a grant worth € 6,000 (costs of branding, registration to the challenge and training weekend included) to take part in the EDHEC Sailing Race flying the flag of Team Total and that of your school. - Get the advice of a professional skipper on the boat during all the challenge
- Take part to a training weekend (In March 2012)
- Not to mention the free sports equipment (sailing jacket, polo shirt, cap)
- Join a Team of two boats sharing the same spirit of mutual help and self-transcendence, and build a close relationship with Total managers.
Constitution of each crew in the Team Total on the EDHEC Sailing Race: - 7 students (no more than 2 schools may be represented on each crew)
- 1 well-known skipper in the sailing world appointed by Total
PLEASE NOTE: To be part of the Team Total, you must register your team for the EDHEC Sailing Race. (registration fees will be covered by the grant for selected teams).
The two boats sponsored by Total will be Grand Surprise and they will be reserved by the Group. The branding of the boat will be realized by Total: exclusive partnership for branding the boat and clothing.

Registration procedure:
1) Online submission of applications on the website
Create the personal space for your team now and come back as often as you like. You have until 30 January 2012 at 08:00 to complete your file with the information requested:
- CVs of all the participants
- form on sailing experience to be downloaded into the personal space
- presentation of your project (e.g. PowerPoint, video, PDF, photos, etc.) to show us your motivation and the efforts you have made, the status of your project (partners, physical fitness, sports performance, etc.) and that you share the main values of the Group.
2) Vote by the public, from 19 December 2011
Create as much buzz around your project as possible: the jury will take into account the number of online votes in selecting the finalists!
3) The finalists will be announced on 9 February 2012
The 6 winning crews will be selected in the final at the head office of the Group (presentation to the jury). On this occasion, the team manager or team representative as you wish will defend the project at our head office.
4) Results announced on 27 Fabruary 2012
