Making a success of your application
1) Create your personal space nowFirst of all, you must create a secure virtual space on this site so that members of your team / project can file, when they want, all of their personal information, as well as your motivations and all the documents that you consider relevant to support your application. For the Land and Sea Grants, a form on your sports / sailing experience and practices to be completed is to be downloaded into the personal space.
You can
return to your personal space as many times as you wish to finalise your file: the secure access allows you to change the information you have provided and to remove / replace your attachments at any time, until the closing date for registration.
2) Team composition
Raid Centrale Paris :
- 3 students including at least one girl
- 1 substitute. He/she will be participating to training weekends. However he/she will be going to the Raid in Corsica only in the case that one of the three students is not able to participate
Please note: no more than 2 schools may be represented on each team.
The team will be completed by a Total manager / captain.
EDHEC Sailing Race:- 7 students from the same school
Go For It Grants:- the composition of the team is not limited and depends on the project submitted
3) Application attachments
Once your application has been created, you will find all the instructions you need in your personal space to complete it (e.g. the link for
downloading the sports or sailing practice form for the Land and Sea Grants, the motivation letter, ancillary files, etc.)
For the Go For It Grants, we recommend that you file at least:
•a folder containing at least a full description of the context and a technical-economic description of the project
•tangible items regarding the upkeep and maintenance over time of the facilities built on-site
•a balanced budget
Please note that regardless of the type of grant, we ask that you choose a document to be posted to represent your project for the vote by Internet users (video, PowerPoint, pdf, Word, photos, etc.).
4) Be original
Feel free to be as creative as you like to make your application as attractive as possible, especially in the format of the documents filed!
To attract the attention of the Total Selection Committee, highlight the following features of your project:
- your motivation in winning the grant and your interest in Total and its business lines
- your team and the state of progress in your project (partners, sports performance, forecast budget, etc.)
- the fact that you share the main values of the Group: Innovation, Team spirit, Challenge
5) Remember to file your application with the organisers!
For the Raid Centrale Paris and the EDHEC Sailing Race, do not forget to register with the organisers of these events. Registration fees advanced will be reimbursed by Total if you are selected (direct by the Raid or through the grant for the Sailing Race).
