Sky Grants: solar energy projects
Are you looking for a partner to realise your solar photovoltaics project? Submit your file to win one of the Sky Grants up for grabs.
1st prize: 5,000 euros - 2nd prize: 2,500 euros
The Total group has been involved for nearly 10 years in decentralised rural electrification (or access to energy) programs in countries such as Mali, South Africa or Morocco.
In many cases, the technology used to provide access to a modern form of electricity is solar photovoltaics. For each project, the aim is twofold: to provide access to clean electricity and less harmful to health, while ensuring (through local maintenance teams) that the systems installed operate in a sustainable manner over time.
Our involvement, your initiative: support for your projects to provide access to solar energy
We want to support student projects aimed at developing a project to access solar photovoltaics or access to water by means of a solar pumping system (for a school, health centre or even households without a modern form of access to energy).
The project must relate to a country in which the population has limited access to energy. Project proponents will be asked to demonstrate:
- the environmental and social relevance of the project
- the means implemented to ensure its operation over time
Particular attention will be paid to knowledge transfer and the training of local stakeholders (energy issues, water, maintenance, etc.)..
